From machine to management, and back again
Every plant floor has the same story. It just surfaces in different places.
Capacity quietly lost to stops nobody measures. PLCs from three vendors that were never meant to talk. Energy that only exists as a monthly bill, and cybersecurity scheduled for “after the project”. Not because anyone did a bad job, but because each problem was solved on its own, in whatever order it surfaced. That is the industry default, and it is exactly what we work through, in one fixed order:

The Boolean way
Each layer is worth more when the one below it holds. That is the whole idea, and it shapes everything we build. At the core, we automate machines: the PLC software that drives them, with motion, visualisation and safety included. For a machine builder shipping a new machine, for a plant replacing a control system that has reached its end, or for a line that needs to do more than it was built for. And when the machine runs, we unlock what it knows: through Boolytics, its data flows to MES, ERP or any system that needs it.
Layer 01
Safety
Safety is not a layer around the control software. It is control software. Emergency stops, fail-safes, safety-rated I/O: we engineer them into the PLC program from the first line, to ISO 13849 and ready for the EU Machinery Regulation arriving in 2027. People work without worry, auditors find their paperwork in order, and safety never becomes the reason a line stands still.
Layer 02
Security
A modern machine has to connect: to MES, to ERP, to remote support. Every connection is also a door. We build the OT network itself, separate it from IT before anything gets linked, defend against cyber threats, work to IEC 62443 and keep you on the right side of NIS2. A phishing mail in the office never becomes a standstill on the floor, and the question “are we in control?” has a short answer: yes.
Layer 03
Reliability
Most floors find out about a problem when the line stops. We build installations that keep running, and that tell you what is going on while they do. Data is buffered on the edge, so a dropped connection never costs a reading. Alarms reach the right person before the operator picks up the phone. You stop firefighting and start planning, because for once, the numbers can be trusted.
Layer 04
Performance
This is where the layers pay out. Through Boolytics, trustworthy data per machine and per process becomes one view of output and energy: OEE and OOE to show where capacity leaks away, consumption per process to show where energy does. Maximum output, minimum consumption, and never one at the cost of the other, because both come from the same data.
